I have has site access "issues" (ISP based)and not been around in a month.

Yesterday:
1) found gas $0.02 cheaper/gal than my usual station; filled up as from oil price reports last Thur/Fri I do expect gas to go up when our local stations refill tanks on Sun/Mon (still dropped $36 for about 1/2 tank).
2) went to $store for Sun paper (coupon inserts) where it is $1 instead of $1.79 like everywhere else.
3) grocery next to $store had clearance meat: bought 1 lb 90% lean ground beef, 0.5 lb beef cube steak and 10 oz smoked ham for $4.37 total.
4) produce mkt accross street from grocer had cabbage for $0.19/lb. Will use for stuffed cabbage and cole slaw (cost <$1)
5) favorite produce mkt had strawberries lb, grape tomatoes & mushrooms lb for 0.99 each.

today I will cook stuffed cabbage and maybe a pan of beef & black bean enchiladsa. Add a previously cooked chicken & fish meal each and I am pretty much DONE with cooking for the week. My only added costs will be a can of tomatoes (0.45 Aldi), some onion & seasonings, and rice.

Today I stayed home, used no gas, spent no money and ate leftovers. I even reused some aluminum foil.

Planted 90 petunias and marigolds in the public parkway garden. It's frugal because I paid only $3.75 for all of them.

In our area, many local real estate agents will put an ad in the local paper advertising for a particular subdivision to have a garage sale as a way to get their own name out in the public.

This week a real estate agent did just that in our area. She posted signs around our subdivision, put an ad in the paper, and if you call her she is supposed to print up flyers that lists everyone's address whom are participating in the subdivision garage sale. So since I have some odds and ends, I guess I'll just toss them out in the garage and see if I can make a little money this Saturday. What's great is someone else is paying for all the advertsing and signs for me so I can't lose any money (even if I don't sell one thing)!

This week I:
had 5 NO SPEND days
had 1 NO DRIVE day
got a $5 off $25 coupon from the CVS scanner so I did the GM cereal & bar deal w/ a bunch of mfg coupons to boot and $15 in ECB. My out of pocket was $0.41 for 5 boxes cereal & 2 boxes of bars. I am covered for breakfast for about 5 months.
I am making cole slaw for Fday BBQ (cabbage ws on sale for $0.19/lb) and will have plenty for me for the upcoming week too as a change from regular romaine based salad.
It has finally cooled off enough here so I can do some "ahead" cooking for next week with the ground meat I bought (clearance) last week. Going for stuffed cabbage (see cabbage note above) and enchiladas (Target clearance for sauce).

Today, I received some windfall, about $100, and deposited it to my savings account. Quite frugal.

I bought a six-pack of the half cans of my favorite brand of soda pop. I rarely drink a whole can, almost always throw at least half of it out. Today, I saw (for the first time) half-cans of soda, so I bought those. The grand total was a little more than half, but at least I don't feel guilty for throwing out soda.

I bought a bag of chicken breasts (6 breasts for $7.00), bottle of honey bbq sauce ($0.68) and 5 cans of french cut green beans ($0.50 each). Baked all the chicken breasts with the bbq sauce, and put in tupperware. Lunch for the week!

Frugal things I did this weekend:

1. Stayed home Sat instead of doing my shopping/errands. I saw my Dad on Sun and all the stores I needed were enroute so I took my cooler & shopped on my way. Savings about 3 hours and 1+ gal of gas.
2. Walked to CVS on Sat eve to pick up a few things so I could use a $x/$xx CVS coupon that was expiring. Savings $3 for coupon PLUS got BOTH weeks sale items I wanted. MORE savings for time & gas as NOT having to go this week.
3. Cooked pans of both stuffed cabbage & enchiladas on Sat so I only turned the oven on 1 time and have a 5 meals left prepared for the week or freezer.
4. Made a LARGE bowl of coleslaw from the cabbage I bought on sale last week. That will be a change from romaine based salad a couple times this week.
5. Trimmed my hair myself. I normally need a haircut every 6 weeks and push 8 weeks. However, some months ago I bought a home trimmer (CVS 90% off) and have been trimming every 10-14 days. Last paid haircut was 3/22, 12 weeks!!! Savings $15
6. Did my own manicure/pedicure. Normally during the summer I go every 2 months. Last time was 4/22 and with this I can hold out another month. Savings $35
7. Fill my gas tank near my DD. She lives in a different county where tax is lower. Saved about $0.40/gal.

I am taking a couple vacation days this week. One will be a "housework" day so no drive/no spend. The other will be shopping for needs (new car air filter, printer ink, free cat food) all in a single swing thru an area I seldom pass. Since my main bank is in that same area I will make sure I stop for enough cash for my needs for the next couple weeks.

DD told me yesterday a nice chain in our area is closing a BUNCH of stores so I will stop at the one in my area & check for closeouts on my return route. I also pass the discount shoe placeso I will check for work shoes which I NEED.

I am about to go repair a tear in my pillowcase. Several months ago I repaired a hole in the fitted bottom sheet. We have a king size bed so repairing sheets and pillowcases so that last even longer is a very frugal thing to do considering the cost of King sized linens.

Yesterday I finished making insulated curtains for four windows in the sunniest room in the house. They will help keep the room cooler in summer and warmer in winter and they look great!!!Patting myself on the back. Took me awhile as I have been very sick, but now that project is done I can go on to other sewing projects on my list.

Sewing can be very frugal especially when repairing/mending things so that they go an extra while. I mended all my hubbies flannel shirts in the beginning of winter (they were already about 4-5 years old with heavy hard use) and now they are pretty much rags, so I know to look for flannel shirts for him at yard sales/thrift stores this summer. I already found 13 like new t-shirts for 50 cents a piece at a yard sale so that has him set for about the next 10 years and have found one like new flannel shirt for a quarter.
