Did my laundry all in one day, unlike my usual of a load once in a while. Someone here mentioned taking advantage of the dryer being hot and doing several loads in a row.
It did seem to speed the process......... I even got all the bedding done.

Thursday is homemade pizza day here. DD1 and I made a big batch and fed 4 people for lunch...and we will feed 10 for dinner...all for under $7!! (we had all the supplies on hand)

I used to buy yeast in those little packets...3 for $2.79....but one day I found a big brick for $2.99 at Costco....I have baked several times a week with it for at least 3 months and am not even 1/2 through the yeast!!! Best frugal find this year!

Today after I dropped my children off at childcare I parked 2 miles from my house and walked. Now when I go to pick them up I have to walk back again. Saves on petrol and gets me fitter! Hoping to do it all the time and the petrol savings will be noticable.

We have both eaten left overs for lunch every day this week. The heat has not run for two days, which is great!

I love these days when nothing runs, no air conditioning and no heat. It is just "right" inside the house!

What I did in the last 24 hours was I went to the city to visit my chiro, walked around after I got medical refund for one hour then caught the bus home.
I came home with more money in wallet than I start out with. I didn't even buy an ice cream and free a cup of coffee this time. Even the bus tickets and chiro visit was prepay ones.
I get some good discounts by paying ahead on somethings. Chiro and bus tickets are some of them!

When the thermostat read 59 at noon... (yes, in the house) I went out and split kindling (I am getting better with that ol' axe) and started a fire. Then I pulled out some leftover hamburger from the freezer and made up some pasta fagioli soup-using up the remaining celery, carrots and onions. Had enough burger left to make some taco meat for DHs lunch....so when he get's up his lunch is all ready.

I took in 8 lb of cans that my dh decided he wasn't going to take in (too lazy) & wanted to toss out & I got $6.40 / .80/lb! Boy can prices have gone up since I was there last!

Now I have $ to spend @ the free day @ the Zoo this weekend.

I made dinner instead of eating out, turned out lights, drove the speed limit and recycled.

I didn't pay to eat out. I brought lunch to work, but then someone treated me to lunch. So, I was able to eat my lunch for dinner on my way to school.

DH got a nice big fat check today from all the OT he's been working lately...usually that means an extra $20 in his allowance...but I talked him into helping me take a couple more bags of cans down to be traded in....got $13 and told him to pocket the money 'cause he has worked so hard!!! So his whole check got banked!!! (Small victories add up!!)

Hot water heater has been off all day. I will turn it on around 6 for my husband's shower and then back off again.
