Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
I am sending out a recycled birthday card. My girlfriend and I do this. Instead of writing inside the card, we use post it notes and we sent the card with the original untouched envelope inside a larger envelope.

Reading a great book from the Library. Went and selected a great collection for over the Christmas break. Good entertainment, no cost.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
Made pies from scratch with the free berries we get from a fruit company that does not sell the berries. Elderberries make great pies!!

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
I didn't have a very good frugal day, but I did go to the thrift store when I bought clothes , and got everything half off. I spent 3.00 on some abercrombie and fitch pants that I'm hoping to sell on ebay to get back some of the $$ I spent today!

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
OK, I'll admit it, I'm not being frugal today! We went to Christmas Brunch. It wasn't super expensive, but cost more than eating at home!
Merry Christmas!

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
We stayed home all day. We don't celebrate Christmas, had no shopping to do, and had no intention of going out with all the last minute crazies.
We watched "Pirates of the Caribbean 2" which my daughter got for Chanukah. We cooked lunch. We cooked dinner. We did some housecleaning and decluttering. Packed up two garbage bags full of clothes for Goodwill. I'll drop those off this week so we can deduct the donation for 2006.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
We went to the movies today. That part definitely isn't frugal. But we stopped at a drug store on the way and bought candy for $.79/box (it was on sale). At the theater, the same candy in smaller boxes was $3.00 and $4.00. So what would have cost us $10.00 at the theater, cost us $2.37. We also went to a matinee, so that saved a couple of dollars over an evening show.
I remember when a movie was a cheap date. Sure isn't true today.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
I didn't spend a dime today. Steve, I can remember when moves cost 15 cent to get in with 2 boxes of candy for a dime.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
I didn't spend a dime today either. DH and I worked on putting the "free" cupboards in place in the garage and leveled them. Next is the top. Using recycles 2x10' boards taken from other places in the garage. Also packed up 2 huge bags for Goodwill. Will drop of on Thursday when I do all my errands.
