Drank water this afternoon instead of buying the soda I desperately wanted!

Used gift certificates for a restaurant for our date night that my DH got for Christmas last year from his company. We had totally forgotten that we had them!

Took lunch in like most days and didn't spend money except to pay $1864 towards my 1yr-interest-free cc for flooring (WUHU)!

Just cut my own bangs, they look ok, but next time I'll remember not to cut too much off. Less=better.

Took my son's Japanese visitor's canoeing for a day out on the water. Great day with a BBQ on the sand. The visitors will sure have a story to tell when they return to Japan and it didn't cost an arm or a leg at at some expensive tourist spot.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
Made homemade granola.
My sister brought over 1 lb of chicken salad and rolls yesterday, and left the extra, so I had a free lunch...actually have enough chicken salad for a couple more days.
Volunteered to pick up IL's at the airport and they bought us chinese food for dinner.

The only $$$ I spent this weekend was an fairly inexpensive dinner out this evening with DH and BIL. Glad to spend time with DH.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
Used free shampoo and conditioner (from a pt) to wash my hair last night.
Homemade granola for breakfast
Had the chicken salad that my sister brought over Saturday so lunch and dinner was (almost) free...I used my own bread.
Turned off the pellet stove for about 6 hours today. It uses about a bag of pellets a day, so If I can shut it off for a few hours per day I will save a bag every few days to a week. I am hoping to make it through the winter without using any more than the 2 tons we purchased this summer.
Didn't spend anything today!

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
Refilled my soap foamers....I have 1 for the shower and 1 for the bathroom sink. It saves me a ton of money on liquid soap every year.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
I have soap foamers too. One in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. I refilled it with the cheapest $2/gallon laundry detergent dilluted with water. Works just fine. I still have some dishsoap, so I added some of that to the kitchen foamer and shaked it all to mix.
I bought 5 turkeys. Cut it all in small pieces. Froze the bone pieces for the soup. Enough for a few month's of soup. Cooked the boneless parts cut in tiny pieces and canned it. That will be enough for a 6 months of quick meals if we use it about every third day or so.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
I went to my county tax collector's office today and disputed the valuation of my wife's vehicle. Instead of a tax due of $116.00, we ended up paying $95.00.

I spent almost an hour taking a survey on line. They paid me $10 to do it. Free money!

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
Challenged the phone company (Sprint, for long distance only) about a $0.14 phone call that I know I didn't make. They agreed to a credit, but said I should check with my home phone provider (Verizon) to see if I have a "cross wire problem" that is charging my incoming calls as outgoing.
Called my ISP (Earthlink), quoted a competing offer from Verizon, and they knocked $10/month off the bill.
Every little bit counts ...

Who was it with? All I can find is "complete survey and you might win a prize", stuff like that.

Re: What frugal thing did you do today?
Its been unseasonably warm the last several days so we have been using the propane space heater in the mornings instead of the wall heater.
