We didn't leave the house today. Dh and I made a batch of pickles and froze beans from the garden.

Had leftovers for dinner. Mail brought coupons for cat and dog food. And best of all......didn't use the AC today!!!

I had leftovers for lunch, I am making my own drinking water (distilled) today, I fed my dog free food. I have the a/c turned off.

I ate cereal and soy milk that was on sale and use coupon on.Feed my dog free food.
Use plastic shoping bags as trash can liner.watered my plants with rain water that I
saved in a free bucket.Cook my lunch.

I won a gift certificate for two to Panera Bread a few days ago and I used it today. I washed my car and found close to a dollar in change just lying around.

OK- at first blush this may not seem frugal, but it is. I went to Famous Barr yesterday to pay the bill ($19.44 for 4 items of clothes). Famous Barr is changing into Macy's. They had a sale on items which will not be carried by Macy's. I bought a summer three piece suit which will last me a lifetime for $53.99 + tax - original price $300!! Trust me I have never owned a $300 suit in my life. lynclarke

We did a mystery shop last night and ate a beautiful dinner in New York at a trendy restaurant which will be fully reimbursed. Cool!

We got a roommate. Okay, so it is my brother-in-law who is paying a hugely reduced rate, but we are helping him get started with his teaching career without debt.

I bought hamburger on sale yesterday for $2.32, which I will make into a meatloaf tonight. My worker showed up yesterday with a bag full of corn on the cob, red potatoes and squash. We will have all that for dinner, so my entire meal is costing me $2.32 and there will be leftovers!

No trips in the car today, so didn't use any gas. Finished up leftovers....so this means I'll have to cook tomorrow (horrors) and start a new batch of leftovers. Saved rain water in buckets and large garbage cans.

I found some canned chicken on sale and used coupons to purchase it. Used a can to make a chicken and rice casserole so all I had to do was heat it up in the microwave and not turn on the oven in this almost 100 degree weather! We will be having the leftovers for dinner tonight as well.

Here in the desert, during our recent heatwave, I ran the dryer on air dry and the laundry dried really well - Can't line dry because of sand and wind.
