I dont think my SO would have considered that a good birthday gift, as going to the game was for his 35th birthday! Plus, we dont pay for TV at all -- so a one time expense for us is better!

Stayed Home and worked in the Garden for a few hours, I didn't have to pay someone to do it for me!

The frugal thing that I did today? I paid $45.00 in groceries, but saved over $30. I am making homemade bread for the first time (actually my bread machine's doing all the work). I feel so frugal today!

My son got Confirmed at Church today, and they had a reception afterwards, so the five of us had lunch free. ($0)
Three of us are going to a cookout for new church members (we are new so were adamantly told not to bring anything). So, that's dinner for 3.($0)
My oldest son and I are going to a high school sports banquet ($7 veggie tray)
I took a nap, thus avoiding going to Kroger and overspending.

We made our own iced coffee cold brew instead of going out to the coffee shop and paying an arm and a leg for theirs, and later we will go and rent a movie/look at magazines at the library

PS...
Dog-sitted for free for my parents. Now, I know it didn't save us money, but we also got the satisfaction that it didn't cost THEM money to put him in a kennel.. and he was much happier with us... and..... we got exercise taking him out for his walks

Turned the AC to a six degrees warmer setting while the rest of the family was to be gone 12 hours. I like it much warmer than they do.

I also brew my own coffee for iced coffee, but usually, i freeze the leftovers from my morning pot in glasses; then I can add coffee to them and have coffee flavored ice cubes already in place.....

I have raised the setting on the air conditioner. What do most of you keep the a/c setting on?

I picked up a huge used 3 piece leather sectional off ebay for $400.

I was about to buy a new simple loveseat for $500. Now I have double the couch plus extra crashing for friends (couch is a pullout).

I ate fudge at work today instead of lunch-not too healthy but free. I have another sports banquet with Thing 1 (my oldest son) tonight so the two of us will eat for free.

I went to the pet store with 2 of the dog food coupons I got from this site. I got two $10.00 bags of dog food for free!! $20 worth for nothing!! That will feed my dog for several months. I am very happy!!

Hit the bakery thrift shop. Found wheat bread 4/$1 and stocked up. Then I hit the grocery store to shop the loss leaders. All in all it took less than an hour total to buy enough to cover the entire big-sized countertop and spent just under $70.

I took the bus into work today. I have a free bus pass. Usually though I am very happy to take my scooter to work, as it is great on gas mileage and freeway-capable. So I saved $2.00.

I read a book from the library today instead of doing something that could cost money.

I wash almost all our clothes in cold except for sheets and pillowcases. Because of allergies we have to wash them in hot.
