We at lunch at one family member's house, and supper at another's house. Our family of 6 ate relatively cheap today (sorry for the pun).

We are having leftovers for dinner tonight. I also got a free lunch from my aunty. She didn't know how to cook these portable noodles so she gave it to me. Yay!

Forgot to mention, I also sold my unused clothes at Plato's closet and listed few at myclozet. Made some money of the things that I over looked.

DH put up my real clothes line posts today (only took almost 3 years of asking, pleading, begging...) Now I can line dry a full load--actually 2 full loads including quilts at once. I had been using several portable wooden dryers that I set up either inside or outside.

The posts were ones that were up at our other farm, where there is no longer a house at, so no cost in getting them other than the fuel there and back....

I generally don't buy things that aren't on my list, when shopping. If I do make a spur-of-the-moment purchase, it's because I find something that is on the clearance rack and I think it will make a good birthday or Christmas gift or is something I will definitely use. If I go to a yard sale, I only take a set amount of money with me, and don't overspend.

I make out a monthly budget and do my very best to stick to it.

I canceled my cell phone provider and joined on a family plan with my wife. I didn't like T-Mobile (was a huge ATT fan), but figured I'd save over $100 a month with the switch. I'll miss my iPhone, but won't miss the bill

I left my lunch home and got someone to buy lunch for me. No need to pay him back or maybe I will.

Made Lowe's stand up to their promise to meet/beat the price of their competitors. Had to go to customer service to achieve it, but saved $14.32 on ten pieces of rebar. This is the first time I ever asked a store to do this.

Going green is a great way to save money in the long run. Changing a few light bulbs can save a lot over time.

I returned my $1. movie (Slumdog Millionare). Saved Blockbuster prices
.

In the same shopping center, I went to CVS and purchase 2 Banana Boat Suncreens that were $9.99 each. I had a $5. coupon off of purchases $15 and over. I also had 2- $2.00 coupons for the product. After adding taxes and subtracting the coupons, I spend $12.03 for both items and received $7.00 extra bucks on my next purchase. Items bought will end up costing me $5.03 for both.

I also did my walking in the shopping center passing up the $1. store, Subways $3. 6 inch sub and Starbucks without buying anything. I just kept thinking about my left overs that I would have for lunch when I returned home.
