I've become a hot tea junky lately (about 4 cups/day). Today I decided to try and use the tea bag 2 times to see if it would still be strong enough the second time. Surprisingly it was! That will help reduce the amount of tea that I need to buy on a regular basis.

Set some blankets out on the couches and turned the thermostat down a few degrees.

Minnie, some tips on tea drinking:
If you want to use your tea bag to make two cups of tea, brew the two cups at the same time in a larger container than just your single cup. This way, the two cups come out equally strong with the same flavor.
Using a loose tea rather than tea bags is usually much cheaper and you can adjust the amount you use to match the strength and volume you want.
If you will be drinking tea all day long, get a large thermos. Brew all your tea at once (I just use a stainless steel pan for brewing), then transfer to the thermos. You can save tiny amounts of energy as compared to heating individual cups, but it all adds up.
Find if there are some teas that you like made very weak, especially if you are mainly drinking it for the warmth. My friend from China seemed appalled to see how strong I was drinking my tea (and I figure I drink it about like most USAmericans.) While at her house, I saw that she was drinking her tea with barely even any color to it! A box of tea would last her just about forever.

Reason: strong tea, not string tea!

Thanks for the tips! I do need to come up with a better system. I find myself re-heating my tea a lot, so I like the thermos idea.
You made me laugh about the Chinese friend...my best friends are Taiwanese and they drink it the same way.

Today I purchased a reel mower to use on my pathetically small yard next year. I've been eyeing them up all summer, but I figured I could get a better deal after summer ended. I bought a new Scotts brand mower on ebay last night ($60) for about half the price of Amazon.com.
This will save me gas and other maintenance expenses of a regular lawnmower. Plus I can mow and not have to breathe in all those horrible fumes! My neighbors pay $2000/season to have someone mow their yard! It takes my husband about 20 minutes to mow ours with a regular lawnmower. He doesn't even need to mow it every week either!

Yesterday, I splurged and bought two breakfast sandwiches from McDee for $2.20. (Using BOGO coupon.) I ate one yesterday, and ate another one this morning.
So, I guess I can consider today's breakfast, free?

I guess sticking to a frugal budget is what I can do. This forces me to look for discounts and use coupons whenever I can.

Hi everyone - I just joined the forum, so that's a start!
Seriously, I refuse to increase my heating bill by turning up the thermostat so I am sitting here with a blanket wrapped around me to keep warm.

Instead of eating out which would cost at least 20 dollars + gas for two, eat frozen meal which costs about 5 dollars for two. Frozen meal was purchased at a wholesale prize from costco.

Pearls can actually be divided into four main categories: Akoya Pearl, South Sea Pearl, Tahitian Pearl and Chinese freshwater Tiffany Silver Jewelry pearl. From these, the largest main producing countries of which are Japan, Australia, France and China respectively.
But I think tiffany is the best.Because oneday I heared from my friend there is a ring which looks beautiful. It is very cheaper and comfortable. It’s called tiffany.

I stopped running the shower water while lathering or shaving. The unexpected bonus is that the bathroom mirror didn't get all fogged up, due to using less hot water.

My son needed m&ms for a gingerbread house project at school. So, I stopped at CVS (my weekly Monday stop) where they had large bags on sale for $1.88 each. I planned on stopping in order to get a moneymaker that they had for a blood glucose monitor (used coupon and made $5 on the deal). So, the $5 moneymaker more than paid for the candy.
I also picked up $20 worth of free contact solution while I was there. All in all, a very good day!
