Its interesting that you say that. We just had that conversation the other day. My wife was saying something about cleaning up and my daughter said our house isn't bad at all. She's been to friends' homes who were way worse than ours, bordering on being hoarders in her opinion.
Most of the time, I think most of our house just looks lived in - a few pairs of shoes by the door because we don't wear shoes in the house, a pile of unread newspapers in the bin, assorted mail and magazines on the table, clean pots and pans on the stovetop, that kind of stuff. It isn't like we have trash lying around or can't access the furniture or countertops. Of course, our basement and garage are another story but those aren't living spaces.
