Water anyone?
I think I save a lot of money by drinking nothing but water. When we go out for breakfast or lunch , i order only water.
I drink only water in the daytime, water I have purified myself!
At night with dinner, we have mixed drinks, rum and diet sprite, but that is the only time all day that I drink anything but water.

Re: Water anyone?
Good clean water is the best thing in the world for you. It is by far the cheapest beverage to drink and certainly the best for you. I put a few lemon slices along with ice in water and it is just dandy.

Re: Water anyone?
I feel sorry for people that don't like water. To me, ice water is the best drink by far. The way i was raised, soda was a rare treat, so I don't even like it very much. I know i have saved a lot of money over the year just drinking water. I am slowly converting my husband into drinking water when we go out, also.

Re: Water anyone?
When you eat out you can save a bunch by ordering just water instead of soda or other beverages!

Re: Water anyone?
We never spend a dime on drinks when we eat out. We have water for breakfast and lunch and take our own diet sprite and rum for supper. They don't charge us any set up fee for ice or glasses. This is a little country town. Often the owner of the restaurant gives us loaves of bread to take home.

Re: Water anyone?
I rarely drink anything but water while at home (aside from my morning coffee) and always keep a bottle with me when I'm out. Being well-hydrated is so important for me when it comes to managing my migraines. My 5-year-old even knows how to use the phrase "well-hydrated" in context. Dh and I have started ordering water much of the time when we go out to eat.

Re: Water anyone?
I think drinking a lot of water is what has kept me so healthy. I don't want to admit how old I am, but I have never been ill or in the hospital in my life!

Re: Water anyone?
my dad has a heart condition where his heart shuts off when he is at rest before falling asleep. not sure what it was called, but his doctor told him, one aspirin in the morning, a vitamin before lunch cause u drag after lunch so this will get u a later boost, and a drink before bed. 11 oz of beer or one oz of liquor with ten oz of chaser. he said that its good for your heart, bladder and kidneys to have a drink each day, helps to clean them up. more then that is not healthy, but sticking with a one drink regimin is. i would of course ask your doctor yourself, each person is made different in some way or another. but it works for him, and his mom. shes gonna be 92 in april and has all her senses still about her. she even told my dad, she had not yet recieved my kids school pix over the holidays, and she has 5 kids, 35 grandkids,35+ great grndkids, and 5+ gr8gr8 grandkids. heck i cant keep up and she can!lol. she does take an aspirin too, she cannot take tylenol. she just got a pacemaker too, so i want to tell you about this cause if u know what im talking about then you should see a doctor right away i would think. she said that taking tylenol made her feel like she had bubbles up in her head. shortly after that she was in the hospital and needed a pacemaker. she was told to use tylenol cause of the meds she was already taking.

Re: Water anyone?
I bought a water purifier/distiller and run it almost every day. It has paid for itself many times over. I have had it ten years and when it quits, I will buy another.

Re: Water anyone?
I believe the good effects come only from regular coffee. De-caf does not have the same properties. Five cups of regular would have me pretty jittery!

Re: Water anyone?
I had heard that going without gives people headaches. I don't think caffeine is very good for you. My dh doctor told him to cut out all caffeine and he feels much better. he drinks diet sprite or water, nothing else. I have had about 3 cups of coffee in my entire life. I will stick to my H2O!

Re: Water anyone?
i realize its a crutch, but imagining my day with headaches four kids a baby and a hubby (is there a difference some times?lol) it isnt something im prepared to deal with at this time. i tried it once and nothing kicks it. prolly takes a month or so to get thru and i just started getting where my cycle is like a teenager again, nearing the end of that part of my life im told. dont get me wrong i drink water too, i fill a 32 oz cup with chopped ice and fill with water, drink it all, and chew on the lil tiny ice chips left in the cup. at least once a day i do that, usually dinner. i have bone spurs too in my throat, my dr said worse then the five pro wrestlers he treats, i constantly have to have something to drink. my throat gets dry and i start choking. when viewing my xrays after my wreck, he stopped counting he said when he surpased all the spurs in those 5 he treats to ask me where, who and why. i was badly abused in my relationship from 19-22. every now and again i get one flared too, to picture what i feel, i would compare it to the top of a deisel truck. where the smoke comes out, how that one piece goes up and down over the pipe. thats like my throat one or two days every few months. when i go out the door to take or pick up kids, i always have a quart size drink with me. never leave home w/o it.lol. if i do it this year at all, it will prolly be when we go up north in the summer. i grew up around water, barely any here at all, just cotton everywhere u look, i think the elevation and the weather and water in michigan would help the adjustment. i love 7 up and sprite, dont drink it much tho, when up north i grab a few rock n ryes. thats another thing i miss, faygo.lol.
