My MIL took a stainless steel coffee mug back to Eddie Bauer due to leaking - they have a lifetime guarantee, so they replaced it for her. I saw one at a garage sale this summer and snatched it up for DH for $.50 - a nice mug to use and I know it will be replaced if it breaks.

I purchased a defective chainsaw that had parts missing. Before purchasing it I checked inside the package for the warranty and instructions. It said if a part was missing do not return call 1-800.... and we will send the parts missing. I did and got a chain saw costing $100 for $15. The chainsaw was fine and had never been used.. just had a few parts missing.. chain was one of the parts missing.

I need to quit being so lazy & follow up on things like this. I tend to just take a loss & either toss the product or stash it somewhere. After our recent move, I found my pair of Birkenstoks that I stashed............both shoes are coming apart from the soles in front... Hardly any wear, obviously just not attached well in the first place. Will get on their website & see if I can get a resolution.

I have been absolutely horrible at following up on things. It's easier to pitch it out and replace it. But I've been working on this the last two months, and I've been really surprised at how responsive some companies are, and ambivalent others are! Even though I shop sales, it does impact my product loyalty, or choice NOT to purchase from a brand.

I bought two Olga bras at Meijer in November.
The night I wore the black one, the strap came apart-not undone, it just fell apart.
The next day I put the tan one on, and it did the same thing.
I called them and told them what happened, and they fed exed me a mailer to send them back for free.
Three days later I got a fed ex package with four bras-just like what I had bought, and a letter of apology.

I bought a TV Trivia software game last summer, and when I opened the box, it was empty. I took it back to the store, and exchanged it. I should have looked inside the box, that one was empty too- turns out there were a lot of empty ones, but they were all sealed.
The company rep took my name and addy, but I never expected anything other than the refund I was given.
About 6 days later, I had received a software gift pack, with about 6 games in all, the MSRP on it was 69 bucks, way more than the 9.99 game I initially bought and WAS REFUNDED for.
The company is called Daddy-O-Productions.

I bought my DGD a puzzle this Christmas that you lace up. The holes weren't big enough and were rough. I called the number on th etoy and they apologized and sent her a new one the next day. I ususally call with problems. One day myt DH left a bag on the ground in the grocery store parking lot. I called to see if anyone had turned it in. Seems it had been run over (maybe by us?) The store replaced the contents of the bag, even when I tried to tell them it was our fault. Needless to say I grocery shop there all the time!

i quit going to our local wendys. i have a five person family plus taking care of a couple in the summer, daves schedual, he is a day sleeper, by dinner time when he gets up i was out with the kids, unable to leave them out, and not wanting to deal with them inside, lol, i would go to wendys on payday, he goes to work hour earlier that day. i spent anywhere from 18 thru 30 dollars. i think 17.98 was my cheapest order there ever. everytime i went, they would rip me off for something. like getting a workin man the double classic, come home and its a single. ordering a side chili and potato, and they put a lil chili on the potato instead, but charge me for both my big bacon had no bacon, the fruit bowl was nasty, etc. after so many times i went inside to talk to the manager, he gives me what i was shorted and says im sorry. i said sorry wont do it again. you have cost me a tank of gas just in coming back for what you short me, every time i come here. if all u can do is say your sorry after all this and the good customer ive been since you opened, then i will not be back. he said he dont know what im expecting but sorry is all he can do. noone in my family has been back there. he lost my grown sons business, my dads business, our business, and im sure some of the guys at daves work said, why bother buying and not getting, having to go back to get it and an im sorry, dont pay for the gas! i bet they miss all of our business too, but i would never go back, theyd prolly spit in our food the next time.lol thats one place that i wont ever go to again, i havent even been to one on our travels either. and i miss my frosty, but they can keep it. mcdonalds and bk has shakes, so does dq. if im gonna eat out, id have to say arbys is my fave! i love a beef n cheddar, yummy! If a place wont make it right, i wont be back. just like the truckload store here. i wont there either. thier daily is suppost to be 9 am-6 pm, thats whats posted. i went there one day at ten to five, they were closed, i went there this friday, and it said closed to monday. ive been to that store prolly ten times and only got to shop once. why make a special trip, u never know when they will be open. it most definatly isnt the times they have showing on the door.
