Do you save UPC codes?
Do you save the codes off packages even if there is no campaign going on for the product. I was amazed at my friend. She had hundreds all sorted for when a campaign comes along. She said it was the best way to collect money when a campaign comes.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
Given the number of items purchased versus the number of promotional offers out there, i'd say it's a huge waste of time.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
Don't most campaigns need receipts too? I'm with Fern. Seems like a waste of time.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
I used to save them back in the day before you needed receipts and had to stand on your head to get a rebate (LOL). Now, it's just not worth it.

No, I don't bother, I have enough junk in my kitchen drawers already!

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
Unless specifically needed for some rebate or money saver it seems a great deal of work for little return!

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
I only save Best Choice labels to benefit my church library. Since I don't buy a lot of name brands, I don't bother with the others.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
I save what I know there is an offer for or have been offers for in the past. Plus boxtops, labels, etc. that schools save.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
yes our school asks for box tops for education from time to time. i save all my upcs tho, sometimes the new newsletter has a new product added and i believe they just added a whole new family of products too. i could be wrong and its sc johnson, but always to be sure. my kids although 2 yrs apart are like twins, i give them equal labels for thier classes. same for thier penny drives. its always good to tho that if your on a tight budget to let them know that you use thier product and would use it more if it were more affordable. i miss kroger here. we had one but thats where the college extension is now. they didnt want a ten year rental agreement so now the closest one is in paragould ark. id shop there more if i had enough to make the trip worth it. sometimes i just go there with anough to hit payless shoes for a pair for all of us. sometimes walmart just dont have the right size or the price is big. i like my coupons for payless too, for five people that pays for a pair all on its own which makes that trip worth it.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
I only save the cambells labels & box tops for education. My dd's school has a bin for them in the office, if we get their early we drop them off. Otherwise our library saves them too.
Too bad you can't save upc's like they did in the 80's ect for gifts. Kool-aid points are a joke, they don't have anything good nonetheless worth saving up for. I remember in the early 90's if you saved so many pepsi upc's you could get things. I got a jean jacket out of it since that was my soda of choice.
Also the prizes in cereal boxes are so junky they have offers on the back where with so many upc's you can get this product for such & such amt. Usually the amt + shipping doesn't make it worth anyones time. What a shame.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
I only save UPC's when I buy something that has already specified a mail in rebate. MIR's are awesome though in my opinion, I've cleared up to 80% profit/savings on products with MIR's. Best savings so far: I got a $10 set of surround sound speakers and a $15 scanner. Best profit: Bought some computer memory for $100, sold it for $155.

I use to save campbell soup labels for the schools, do they still do that. Otherwise, I feel it is a waste of time.

Re: Do you save UPC codes?
A waste of time. All the competitions or prizes require a receipt as well.
