Default Extending the life of cut flowers

Does anyone have some good suggestions on how to make cut flowers last longer? I have beautiful flowers, but they seem to die too quickly and I would love to have them last longer if possible.

A couple of suggestions- And this first one works for x-mas trees so they keep their needles

use one aspirin in the water or when you see the needles drop or the flowers start to get dried ends

another one that a friend did was to use his left over tea bags and drop them in water for just a little while- faint color- and then pour on plants or flowers. I haven't tried this one myself.

Yes...as soon as you place cut flowers into water in a vase be sure to add a couple of teaspoons of white sugar to feed the flowers.

Thank you. The flowers are lasting longer

I'm looking forward to trying the Christmas tree aspirin trick this holiday season.
