Default Magazines

We don't have any magazine subscriptions except for some freebes that I got through mag central and then one as a gift for my son.

Hubby will sometimes pick me up a magazine at the store. I tell him not to do it because you are paying through the nose for them.

I also get magazines through the library as well.

That list of free magazines is amazing! I had no idea I could get so many different ones for free. I know you said that this challenge would help clear my coffee table, but I think it is going to add more to it I even applied for the Money magazine subscription that I am planning to give to my husband as a gift. He'll love it and I won't tell him it was free.

Question Re: Magazines

I'm not a magazine person, thanks to the web. The ones I have ordered for 1yr free have yet to show up...do they take longer than 8 weeks?

I've whittled down my magazine subs quite a bit. If I don't get them for free or pick them up at work to read I make sure I get them as a b-day gift etc.

They really vary in how long they take to show up. There have been a few that never showed up for me, but for the most part they have eventually showed up.

I'm a late comer to this website, but I love to read. Where can I find the list of free magazines and how to get them?

Thanks.

I also discovered that since I spend so much time on the Web, I don't even have the urge to read a book or a magazine before going to bed. I read a couple of online mags and this is quite enough.

I love magazines but don't subscribe to any...I either just read them online or go to the library. The library is great especially for thick magazines like Vogue, because that way I don't have to carry them around with me or find a place to store them!

I was getting 1 magazine monthly, but then I stopped because I don't have time to read them anyways, plus, I get more valuable info online in less time.

I've found the best magazines are those that help you save money by making you smarter. I love The Family Handyman which gives you great instructions on how do everyday fix it up chores around the house. The pictures and instructions are clear so that even I can do it. You can find this mag at the library or pass it around like we do. They've got a searchable website, type in the mag name in google, too. I spent $20 building a washer/dryer stand instead of buying a set in the store for over $200. Quality magazines can be worth the time to read!

I always liked teenfreeway - I had 5 years worth of free subscriptions to cosmogirl, seventeen and teen vogue thanks to that site. When I got married last year I paid 8 bucks total for a 4 year subscription to redbook AND woman's day at mags4less (i think it was them? it was a great deal). that 8 bucks is all i've paid for magazines in 9 years. i love the internet and how easy it is to find things i enjoy anyway - for free!

Magazines are my weakness. I have decided just to stick to 2 and I'm amazed at how much I'll save every month. I know I could get them at the library but I like having them at my disposal.
