Ok, all you Las Vegas regulars -- I need tips on how to save money there. I plan on going soon and want to know things like when to go, where to stay, where to eat, what to do, etc...

Thanks in advance.

Don't gamble make sure that you set aside a firm "entertainment" budget and stick to it. So to all the vegas hotels and sign up for their "player's cards" - most are free and they will send you a ton of discounts just for signing up. That should help out quite a bit.

I go to Vegas pretty regularly, and stayed downtown (Fremont Street) the last time. It is much cheaper than the strip and everyone says the slots pay better too. Hotels and food are cheaper downtown. For $2, you can take the city bus to the strip. There's lots of free entertainment downtown as well. We stayed at the Golden Nugget, which is a really classy hotel - it was wonderful (and cheap)!

Going to Vegas and not spending is like going to the ocean and not getting wet.

The idea is to set limits on gambling. Look for deals on food and lodging. The idea is to do as much for free as you can. Good luck!

I would also go to the downtown area to save money...
better deals on food
better and bigger drinks
slots seem a little "looser"
entertainment is plentyful

can't beat the downtown!
