Starbucks Earth Day is April 22 and Starbucks is giving away free drinks! Bring in a travel cup and receive a free coffee or tea at participating stores.

Does it have to be a Starbucks-brand cup, you know, with the logo? I heard about this somewhere else, and no one could tell me which kind of cup you have to bring in for the free refill/sample of coffee...

Guess it's the basic coffee and tea, the cheapest drinks on the menu...still, this is nice of them to do.

Be VERY carful about this offer.

I have called 3/6 stores in my area and even the store managers knew NOTHING about this and 'guessed' their stores were NOT paticipating. I did not bother to ask about type of cup required.

I would let my fingers do the walking before I spent the gas.

Thanks, Marvholly. I would tell people also to first call their local store and check. I just realized I should call, even though I am one of those lucky few who now has a Starbucks just up the street from my house.

I called a few times about other promotions, and they knew NOTHING about it at the local level. Caveat emptor (buyer beware!).
