Tsunami Appeal Research Project

I am currently undertaking a research project into the Tsunami Appeal
and how so many people responded to the tragic disaster in such a
generous way. Although Charitable giving is on the increase this appeal
saw unprecedented amounts of donations and people motivated to give
either money or time. What I'm researching is what about this emergency
appeal was different - what about our morality was hit by this event in
comparison to appeal such as the current appeal for the African Crisis.

Did any of you donate money or time?

If so, so what was your motivation?

Did you have any connection to that region?

How could you not with all the devistation it caused? Although it is sad to say, I think TV images played a huge part in it. Had there been none, there probably wouldn't have been the outpouring of donations.
