I've been eating a lot of oat bran lately. GREAT STUFF! I think as long as you avoid high sugars from cereals and muffins and cakes and stick to wholes foods like grains and fruit low in sugar, you'll be good.

I have a bowl of whole wheat (Wheatena) hot cereal every morning! I have never felt better in my life. Energetic, satisfied and trim.

I like a scrambled egg (2 egg whites, 1 whole egg) with spinach, tomatoes, chicken and occasionally some feta. Its healthy and it keeps me going for a while.

I like to eat protein, hardboiled eggs are handy, and some bacon or sausage and some fruit. I skip the carbs.
As to the fat and cholesterol arguements, i disagree. Most cholesterol is made endogenously by your own body not taken in through the diet. And, there is nothing wrong with fat. The real key is moderation and variety. I think we eat too many carbs of all types. I think if we think of foods in terms of proteins, carbs, fruits, veg, dairy and fats, and sugars it is easy to plan. I think fruits and veggies are free foods and one should eat more proteins. Then the rest smaller amounts to accent the diet. That seems easy and understandable and works for me.

Greek Yogurt is a good thing to have in the morning.

There is a coupon online, on Facebook for Dannon Activia. For those who haven't tried the brand, Activia is a delicious, creamy yogurt it contains Bifidus Regularis, which helps naturally regulate your digestive system as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Now Dannon Activia Selects lets you visit Europe from your kitchen by bringing the true taste French and Greek-style yogurt to you in a cup.

Recently the Social Media Marketing company I work for started a campaign for Dannon Activia and their new Yogurt selections. I figured some folks here at savingadvice might enjoy a coupon. Having tried these I can genuinely say they've become my favorite low calorie additions to my diet!

Check out their page and enjoy

I am bad about eating breakfast BUT I make sure my kids have a healthy breakfast everyday. Slow cooker oatmeal is a hit in our house. We do lots of fresh fruit. Nutella is a new fav for the kids.
