Default Easy way to organize a linen closet (and keep it that way)!

A few months ago I gave up on trying to neatly fold fitted sheets (the one with the corners for the mattress) it always looked like a big pile anyway.

Now, I roll/fold it up and stick it inside the matching pillow case. Fold and put in the flat sheet and extra pillowcases (if applicable). So the entire sheet set it tucked inside one of the pillow cases. I put the sets in the linen closet along with the towels. Easy!

Fitted Sheet: Spread out the sheet and make sure the pockets are all turned in the same way. Fold sheet in half, lengthwise, tucking the pockets together so that they fit smoothly. Bring your hands to the center of the sheet, folding the sheet in on itself. Tuck the pockets into each other. Next, lay the folded sheet on a flat surface with all the pockets together and form a neat rectangle. Bring the sides in to the center and pull the elastic edge down to the center. Finally, fold the sheet into thirds, then in half. Always place the folded side facing out in your linen closet for a neat look.

Flat Sheet: Fold three times in half. Fold in thirds in one direction, lengthwise. Fold in thirds in the other direction. This should result in a finished product that is the same as the fitted sheet.

Pillowcase: Fold in threes, lengthwise. Fold in threes in short direction

To store a sheet set, open one side of the flat sheet, tuck the fitted sheet in and place the pillowcases on top. Lower the flap for a neat package.

Towels: folds towels in thirds lengthwise, each edge to the center; fold length in thirds, stack with folded side out for a neat look.

Store out-of-season blankets and extra pillows on the highest shelf. Most linen cupboards benefit from an extra shelf inserted between existing shelves.

We roll bath towels which my wife keeps in a large basket by our bath. They not only have an inexpensive place to stay, they look nice too!
