nope.

remember Y2K when the computer experts were saying that the change could cause huge crashes and destroy our way of life? And then it came around and nothing meaningful happened.

Now instead of computer experts trying to predict the future, we have Mayan non-experts. I think it's doubtful.

Plus Jesus said that no man knows the day or hour of His return. I'm gonna go with Him on this one.

Maybe they are both conspiracies created by the aluminum can food people! haha

You know that's a great idea. And you'll need to insure the house so...

I'll sell you some "end of the world home insurance" - you pay me $1000 a month and if the world is destroyed, I'll pay you $1,000,000.

I've enjoyed the humor...don't think I'll sell my house for 5K and buy the end of the world insurance either, though!

Seriously, I am not real worried about it. My Christian beliefs go with JPG's post. And if the world is going to end in 2012, there isn't a whole lot I can do about it.

Why does this stupid stuff come around every decade? There was the Jupiter Effect, Haley's Comet, geomagnetic reversal, Nibiru Collision, Yellowstone Caldera Supervolcano, and the most recent is the burning up in a gas cloud of Energetic Neutral Atoms scenario. I like the last two, they actually has some science behind them.

If you run out of paranoid things to think about go here

I don't think so. According to the Bible, no man knows when the end will come - only God knows.

lol it's going to be the same as Y2K. So much hype for nothing. I saw a show on TLC about the world ending on 2012 and they said that everything that man has created will "magically" turn against him. So long story short, don't have a tie on around a paper shredder and stay away from blenders.

It comes up because of the old saying - " a fool and his money are soon parted ".

If the world does end in 2012, I hope it's like the movie. I'll be on the mountain top in Yellowstone with Woody!

I wouldn't give much credence to this--I don't believe the world is going to end, though, I know of friends who believe in the prophetic abilities of the Mayans. We'll see, i guess.
