Default How to get home with your car when you could be flat on your face

A local man offers to drive you home from your night out of drinking. He brings along a fold-up scooter in your trunk to drive himself home. Costs more than a taxi, but then you don't have to taxi back the next day to get your car. I guess this is a professional designated driver.

ScooterGuy - Professional Designated Driver Service (I have no connection; just thought it interesting.)

What an innovative idea with a great social purpose!

Although, I wonder how many people would take their time to fill out an online form in advance, or would have the phone number handy when they need it? And how much would they trust having a stranger drive them? What will happen if they end up in a car accident? I wonder how many are willing to pay $25 to $50 a trip for this, in addition to membership fees? How financially-viable is the business compared to some who may have friends or even family to call in a pinch? How big of a market is there for something like this, I wonder?
