I didn't mention the pill because you asked what was the best.
 Higher failure rate (due to user error, if nothing else). Just don't forget to take it every day!

Gotta add, I know married people who've ended up with STDs. Marriage doesn't mean fidelity by a long shot! Nor does it mean children within marriage. I know another friends whose husband had a child with another women after a vasectomy.
Nothing is guaranteed in life.
