Default Paypal Alternatives

As title, and yes I already know about the paypal sucks site. I want some feedbank on other online payment sites that people have used before, I hope that this thread turns out to be a huge information gathering place for everyone to post. It is very useful to those of us who use services like this.

Thanks.

Google Checkout is a decent alternative, not accepted as universally but it's getting more popular.

Ive never had any problems with paypal. But the two most popular alternatives to it are alertpay and moneybookers.

Default PayPal is the WORST!

If you want it for Ebay there is an alternative. You can link your own merchant account through something called "payflow" and pay yourself directly for the listings.

This is what we do. Very good system.

Good Luck!

I would stick with Paypal.. even if you think it sucks they've spent hours upon hours solving fraud and all that. You might think there's another solution but the reality is the other solutions are WORSE, because they don't have the advantage of years of fraud attempts - there is no fool proof fraud system.

Try Google Checkout. I can't stand PayPal either because they play with your money! I've actually had them willing to work with me and after they collect thousands of dollars, they hold the funds and won't let me have them. Very shady practice. I heard good things about Google Checkout, but if you can... it might be best to go after a real payment gateway like Authorize.net or Pay Junction

Alert pay isn't bad. if you use a shopping cart it stinks because it can't integrate the checkout through the cart and customers have to log into AlertPay to send money.
