Sarah Palin is one of us
At least tax wise Sarah Palin is the same as us. Well her and Joe Biden. He doesn't make much only $250k. She makes even less than Joe. Palins release tax records for 2007, 2006 | Politics | Reuters
She made and paid 2006 - $124k, paid $11.9k - 9.3% 2007 - $166k, paid $24k - 14.9% I hate to say this but we paid more than Palin in income taxes. Gosh that sucks. And Alaska doesn't have state income tax either. Why is she complaining? She barely pays taxes.

On Yahoo this morning I read a story (AP?) that mentioned the Palins have owned 43 vehicles, including 17 snowmobiles in the last two decades. I don't know if that included the planes, or not.

Does that number include her husband's income? I thought I heard a bit of the news stating that he made about $40,000... and that a pretty good little chunk of their income was his snowmobile winnings? Or maybe I'm making all that up, lol.

When Sarah Palin accepted John McCain's offer to be his running mate, she probably didn't fully realize what being in the national spotlight meant. For example, your tax returns get to be analyzed in public (for free) by miscellaneous tax experts.
