If you are looking to waste some time, there are plenty of free games that you can play for free in your browser. Just make sure that you have the time and shouldn't be doing something else

There are lots of great free game sites online. Some are ad-based, like candystand.com, but the games are fun despite the ads. Another good one is miniclip.com. My DD loves that one. Also, I recently joined Facebook and they have some good games there, plus you get to see how you stack up against your friends. I play Scramble there almost every day.

did you try installing the yahoo or the live messengers?
they have pretty cool games over there.

it's not exactly flash games but its as free as it can get and some of the multilayer games are pretty cool!
