Larry Winget has a show called "Big Spender" and books talking about being responsible about one's spending and debt. He's currently on a Hyundia commercial and they talk about getting cash back if you buy the vehicle. He advises the driver to put that cash back on his credit card debt. Personally, I think Larry sold out to commercialism -- he shouldn't be advertising for a car company to get people to spend money they don't have if they already have credit card debt! I guess I'm incredibly disappointed.

I didn't realize Suze Orman advertised car loans for GM.

the commercial ,at least to me, says you can borrow your way out of debt
larry Winget on his show is dealing with people who consumes themselves into oblivion so for him to suggest that people with debt can help their situation by financing a car makes me want to slap his bald little head ;-) |

I kept checking the T.V. listings wondering when his show, Big Spender, was going to be back on. It hasn't been on for awhile. I even emailed A & E since they are the folks who advertise it on their website. No reply. I finally went to his website yesterday and a rep for Larry Winget emailed back and said he no longer makes the program. I know this doesn't have anything to do with my saying how disappointed he sold out, but thought those kind people who responded to this thread might be interested that he no longer makes the show.

bummer I liked the show, I guess main stream folks who are not fanatical about their finances would not be crazy about a show like big spender
i must admit I never thought this show helped the people on the show they would check back a few weeks later, not enough time or support i thought |

We liked the show too and I thought he had some good ideas on realistic money solutions. Oh, well.
