Well, to the man's credit, the original island was the one that was destroyed by the hurricane. That's what prompted him to build an island of his own. I believe they said his faux-island actually survived two tropical storms, and he says he's confident that it would survive an actual hurricane. Who knows?

Ouuu a private island all my own......I wonder if hubby and the kids would notice if I stockpiled plastic bottles in the backyard? LOL
