Default What made you smile today?

Can you think of what made your day go by a little bit better today?
Nothing special for me.....I had to create my own happy mood by just being elated with myself. It feels good when you are lovin' life!

Ooh, a feel-good thread. It sure is nice to have these from time to time.

Let's see....

Well, someone made the best roast beef sub I've ever seen today. Short of getting one made from the owner of a deli store in New York City that is. I even tipped him and complimented him on his work.

In general, I didn't have a bad day, which I choose to see it as a good day. It didn't suck, so that's always a good thing.

Today my four month old baby was crabby so my five year old went up to him and started talking to him. The baby stopped what he was doing and started cooing and "talking" to my older son. I thought that was really cool and have been looking forward to seeing them interact for a long time. That really made me smile.

Getting a good report on our home inspection. Anything wrong is very minor. Also, the septic system received good results.

I got a $300 bonus check that I had no idea we were getting! I didn't think I qualified because I have only been in this department since May(the rules are 1 yr minimum) but they gave it to me anyway.

My little girl brought me a car that was forgotten by company last night, and my youngest (who doesn't talk that much, 1yo) said 'baby car'....course you have to be a bit of a cryptographer to know what he meant.

The car belonged to our youngest guest, UE still thinks anyone like himself is a baby (though not himself!)

Anyway I thought it was cute, prolly falls under the heading of only a parent would get it.

I recently completed a commissioned work of art and shipped it off to NY.
I was pleased with the results but I never really know if the person buying will be as happy with the image I have sent of the work online as they are with the actual work when it arrives.
It made my day when the buyer left a message on my answering machine that the work had arrived and exclaimed it was even better than the image I had sent online . She thanked me so much.

I saw a child holding her moms hand to walk across the street. It reminded me of my kids.

Got a happy phone call from one of my college kids today. And a happy conversation with the other one yesterday. So nice to get and a "I love you" at the end!

DH got a JOB today! It's his first steady employment since he decided to go back to school in the fall of 2005 for his teaching degree.

Yeah! Congratulations!

My fiance was offered some pasture to rent. We've been looking for pasture for a few months now, but we haven't found any. This farmer is looking to scale back and offered it to us!

I stayed with my son for a few days. They are moving soon and I'm trying to get in as much Grandmother time as I can.

What made me smile this morning was waking up to her a giving me this great big smile and her beautiful mother (my daughter-in-law) giving her daughter her time in the morning on dil's birthday.

we have a training academy at my job and one of the trainees and I speak spanish together (not my native language) and he claims I sound very good. This morning, I spent 1.5 hours in my car trying to get to work so I was not my usual spunky self when i arrived. He said, "Buenos dias? Como estas?" I said, "eh, bien." he said, "y siempre guapa" - and always beautiful. Man, and I was feeling kind of ugly this morning.
