Top 11 Posts of 2006

Hi,

I am one creep running after finance related topics. It is very difficult to go through all the posts but certainly I will like to go through the top 11 posts of 2006 (Please if you can) and then I will like to compare it across various forums.

Can you please put the top (either most viewed or most replies) 11 posts of 2006?

I have already convinced one forum to do that and I am trying with other forums. Please help me with it.

Not sure exactly you're after, but you can do it yourself easily by looking at the number of posts or number of views in each of the main categories

Something like

SELECT topic_id, topic_title FROM phpbb_topics WHERE topic_time >=1136095200 AND topic_time <=1167631140 ORDER BY topic_views DESC LIMIT 0 , 11

Thanks and then I will be contacting various bloggers to blog about these topics. This will be fun to know. I will do a comparison and if one topic appears across the discussion boards then it deserves a consolidated and detailed article.

I would expect that the 'most replied' threads would not really be the 'top' in terms of usefulness. Often these are the threads that have either outlived their usefulness or have gone off on a tangent or, worse, an argument.

I, personally, don't see the point of having a top 11 list based on number of replies.

Any parameter will do, the purpose it to find the most debated or liked topics.
