what is the meaning of donate in this forum?

i've earn some point but there is also some links i.e donate. What can i do using that points? Is this important 4 me to earn more points any importance of point? or i donate my points?

Points currently have no value although they may at some point in the future. They are basically a guage to how active a person is in the forums here at the moment.
