I travel between Canada and the US frequently and am looking into getting Satellite radio. Anyone know if you travel to Canada if your US subscription to one or the other service will work? Or vice versa - will the Canadian subscription work in the US.
Paying one monthly charge is doable. Paying two charges will make my frugal bones hurt very badly! Any help or advice is appreciated. |

XM radio is available in Canada according to the XM Radio FAQ. Sirius Radio's FAQ implies that its service will not work in Canada, unless you subscribe to Sirius Canada.
EDIT: After reading XM Radio's FAQ again, it looks like you have to buy a separate subscription as well. The wording isn't totally clear. |

It all depends on what part of Canada you're in. I live in Michigan and I currently have XM Radio. I've been to Canada a few times with it and I've had no problems. I didn't travel that far into Canada though.
To be safe, I would probably subscribe to the country you will be in the most. |
