Emigrant Direct $10 or $20 Sign-Up Bonus

There is no Emigrant Direct official bonus, BUT we here at SavingAdvice are giving away a $10 or $20 unofficial bonus (depending on how you choose to get paid) if you sign-up for an Emigrant Direct account through our link. Unfortunately, the Emigrant Direct system is not as easy as signing up for the ING $25 Bonus, but a little extra work will get you a 5.05% return on your savings (plus a $10 or $20 bonus). Since this is an unofficial bonus, you'll need to follow the instructions and complete the entire process exactly in order to receive the bonus - this will help us confirm who signed up through our link:

#1: Use

to sign up with Emigrant Direct. This is a coded link that will give us the bonus so you can get your bonus. If you sign up by going directly to the site or from any other link, then you won't qualify for the $10 or $20 bonus from us.

#2 Once you have filled out the form in the link above, send an email with your first name and the email address you used to sign up for the Emigrant account to info@savingadvice.com Please put "Emigrant bonus" in the subject heading. We will email you back to confirm that we have received your email.

#3: Finish the opening process. With the recent update of the Emigrant site (July 2006), you no longer need to wait for a snail mail confirmation (applause all around). You will receive your account number upon sign up.

#4: Emigrant will send two small amounts to your checking account. You need to input these amounts into your account to confirm the account. These small deposits should show up in your account in a few days at most.

#5: Once your account is confirmed online, we need you to send us a second email with the following information:

1. Your first name
2. Date you activated your online account
3. Date your account was confirmed

Once you fill out the second form and we can confirm that you signed up, we will start to get you your chosen bonus. Please be patient in this area. While Emigrant has improved their sign up process, they haven't improved their confirmation process on our end. It can take up to a month for the information to post after you have confirmed your account has been confirmed, but we will get you the bonus as quickly as we can.

If you want the $20 bonus, please send two of your ING invites to us
If you want the $10 bonus by paypal, we will send it to the email address that you respond to us with.

More information on ING Invites: it may take up to a month for the ING invites to be used that are sent to us depending how many we have in the system. Since we can't predict the timing of sign-ups, please be patient. If the links that you give to us expire before they are used, then you have the option to choose either the paypal or Amazon gift certificate payments.

Unfortunately, the account has to be a new acount so a new person must sign up (you can't create a second account in your name).

You should not have received an email purporting to come from us about this unless it was part of our newsletter. We only advertise this in our newsletters (freebies, The Saving Advisor and Daily Financial Challenge) which you chose to sign up for when joining the forums. If it came from any place else, it was not from us and you should not apply.

This is an "unofficial bonus" - the bonus is coming directly from us, not Emigrant. We are a member of their affilaite program. They pay us $20 for each person that signs up through the affiliate link we have with then above. We then turn around and give the money back to you - either $10 through paypal or $20 through ING referrals. This way we make money and you make money and we get many more sign ups than if we advertised without the bonus give back.

If you have any qualms about this, do not sign up through us and do it directly through their homepage (you'll get an account, but no bonus for opening).
