Our site gets enough traffic that we have a few people sign up for an ING account from our site each week. Since Nate and I have long ago used up all of our ING invitations, we put yours on the site instead. They are simply being used by people who want the $25 bonus who happen to visit our site.

1. Date activated should be the day confirmed.
2. You can send the 2 ING referrals right away, but we will hold them until we can confirm the information with Emigrant. Unfortunately, this has been taking a few weeks (it's the way that Emigrants works and not a whole lot we can do about it), but if you have already sent them, we can get them up the same day that we get confirmation.
3 Yes, send them both to info@savingadvice.com

Bringing this to the top for newer folks and letting you know I'll be setting mine up tonight. Oh, question. I'm actually setting the emigrant account up for my husband, but the ING account is mine. Will that matter for me to be able to get the ING $20 credit? I guess I'll wait for your response...

Is this deal still available? Just signed up for your site and am signing up for my ING account tomorrow. Everything on this site is great and has been a tremendous help in my needing to design a budget. Wish I would have found this site sometime ago.

No, there should be 25 invites in there for you to use. After you hit the "Earn $$$ Refer A friend" button at the bottom of the homepage, you will see a single button to refer a friend. When you click on that it will take you to the 25 invites your have.

Do you think I should close the ING account after I get the Emigrant or should I still leave some funds in there? After all, %1.5 is still %1.5!

I personally would leave the account open with a few dollars in it. ING tends to run promotions from time to time and there may be a time one of these promotions would be worth participating in, but you need to decide if it is worth having the extra accoount for you.

I believe it's a temporary problem - have an email in to find out what the problem is.

Hi Jeffrey,

I have to tell you what a frustrating process opening the account with Emigrant was. I elected to use my passport number vs my DL number because I happened to have it handy. Once the confirmation process was completed I then was informed that I had to photocopy my passport, provide a cover letter and print out the confirmation page to complete the application. I called and was told there was no way I could change my form of ID after the fact. So I tried to do it their way. When I attempted to print out the confirmation page from their print button it took me back to their homepage. So I called again, now she wanted me to download the confirmation page through adobe blah blah blah. I already had enough at this point so I cut and paste it sent then a curt note explaining how frustrating it was to open an account with a bank that wanted your business etc. and faxed away. I will keep you posted as to whether or not they actually want my money....
