Default ING $25 Bonus Links

If you'd like to receive a $25 bonus for signing up for ING, simply use the links below. Please note that as of 10/13/05 in order for you to get your $25.00 bonus it is now required that your account be opened with a minimum of a $250.00 deposit. If you want to open an ING account for the interest rate (even without the bonus) and don't want to initially deposit $250, please use this link

To make sure you get the $25 bonus, you need to use a referral link that hasn't been used yet by someone else. I will check daily to remove used links - but you should check the link too to make sure you get the bonus.

Here's how to check the links and use them:

1) click a $25 Bonus link below

2) click "Open Now"

3) look for red text above the application form - if there is none, then the link has not been used and you will receive the $25 bonus (I have placed an example of a used link up so you can tell the difference). If there is writing in red that says "Bonus Promotion Error. The bonus promotion you would like to use is not responding either because..." then the link has been used and you should use another link to get your $25 bonus.

4) when filling out the application, you can leave the "reference code" area blank. The link records that you are to receive a $25 bonus for signing up and no code is needed.

$25 Bonus Link (Example of what a used link looks like)

If for some reason all the invites are used (I try and keep an eye on them to make sure they don't all get used), simply leave a comment and I will have new ones up within a few hours.

If you know of others that would be interested in getting a free $25, please feel free to let them know about this page.

ING Direct Bank

ING currently pays 3.00% standard rate - no minimum balance required. Everyone earns the same high yield.
No Fees - every penny you deposit goes to work for you.
No Changing Banks - the Orange Savings Account is linked to your checking account.
24-hour Access To Your Account - you're always ready for opportunities.
FDIC Insured- your money is always safe and secure.

When I click the $25 Bonus lonks, the "used" one looks the same as the others. Am I not seeing something right? I want to open an account, but am mildly paralyzed by anxiety-I'm not an anxious person, but I like being knowledgable and in this area I'm aware that I know zero.

When you click on the link, they will all look the same. When you click on the "Open now! Go" link on that page, you will be taken to a page to start the application - at the top there will be blue writing that will tell you whether or not the link has been used yet or not.

It worked fine. It would have worked for me the very first time had I read the instructions. I have become much more empathetic to people who are scared of what I think is "easy"-for example, filing taxes yourself when just getting wages and no special deductions. Even though these steps were super clear, my anxiousness made it more difficult. One account opened for $3K. Besides the $25 bonus, I love the fact that they will deposit 2 small amounts under a dollar to my regular checking account. That's real money as well.

Thanks for your patience.

Is the option of giving out links only available to people who signed up by a certain date? I can't seem to find where I would provide someone with a link. I don't mind using my grandkids links fo rany accounts I open but someday would like to give mine out as well,
if it is still possible.

When you sign into your account on the bottom toward the right side (near where the total interest number is displayed) there should be a link for referring friends. Click on that and it should take you to your invites.

Thanks for the information. I signed up for an account too. Interest rate is much better than my bank and ING is very easy to use!

I've been using ING direct for two months now, and just got a notice today that the rate on savings account went up from 4.15% to 4.25%. Sure beats the measly 1% or so I get from my bank. ING really is a great way to save! Thanks again for the recommendation!

I just did it, biting my nails the whole way. The $25 shows up in the account. I assume the $250 will show up in a couple days after it processes. I have a question though. I played with the "transfer money" tab, just to play around. I can transfer FROM my bank TO ING, but I can not transfer the other way around. How do I get my money back? Will that change after I've finished the final application process of telling them how much money they put in my account?

I just read the email they sent, and it says I can't withdraw anything for 10 days. So, that's fine.

The $250 must remain in your acct for a minimum 30 days or else you lose the $25 bonus. It may even be 90 days.

It's probably not more than 30 days because the total, including the bonus, became available for withdrawal on my first full monthly statement.

I saw no blue wording, but no $25 bonus yet either.

Do I have to validate the trial deposits first before the $25 shows up?

No, it should show up even before you validate. If the $25 isn't in you account in the next couple of days, you should call ING and explain the situation to get it resolved - that you signed up through a friend's bonus link and should have $25 in your account since you made a $250 deposit.

I used one of your links to open an account last night.

The first link I tried had been used. Instead of blue writing I got a paragraph in the same black print as the rest of the page, but it was the first paragraph on the page and it did say clearly that the link had "expired or been used".

The second link I tried didn't specifically confirm on the first page that the link was ok, it just told me how to sign up. The confirmation that I would get a $25 bonus came on the page where you're asked for your checking account information. It has a picture of a check showing where the routing number and account number will be, and next to the bottom right corner of that picture is red print that says "If your initial deposit is at least $250 you will get $25".

BTW: Thanks for the links.

Edited to add:
For anyone who's wondering, sign-up took about 30 minutes because I read some of the agreements online instead of just downloading them. I'd estimate 15 minutes to sign up via a dial-up connection if you download the agreements and only read what you have to online. Took an additional 10 minutes via dial-up to do the verification process and enroll in the new login proceedure. Overall I'm satisfied wth both these processes. Subsequent logins have been fast and easy. I also like the extra security provided by their login proceedure -- things like them displaying a picture and phrase you've previously chosen to prove you're really on their website and not a bogus look-alike.
