I did not know about this thread.
I opened an ING Orange savings account about a week ago. Is there anything I can do to get that bonus retroactively?
It's not a lot but what the heck...

Unfortunately, no - in order to get the bonus, you need to sign up through one of the links. Sorry.

Oh, well....

By the way, are these bonuses taxable?
For example for those who received the 25$ bonus, will they just see 25$ credited to their ING account or will it be a smaller amount - after taxes?
And if so, what is the tax bracket for this type of bonuses? ...

In general, bonus amounts are reported as interest income.

Once you get your $25, you are free to take out the money. Can't remember offhand on the compounding...

Is the bonus still valid? I click on the links and none of them mention anything about a $25 bonus. And the one that is "used" doesn't mention anything about the referral being used either, and there's no blue bar at the top.
