Default One more payment....

I payed $2200 towards our credit card balance today. One more payment in August ($971 remaining) and it's party time! Ah I mean back building our EF savings.

We incurred this debt last several months trying to remodel our kids two bedrooms plus our computer room rather than touching our EF. We bought new furnishings and gave away our old stuff to my sister kids. We did the painting (with my dad's help), put new carpets in all three room. A huge relief!!!!

I do the exact samething. I use my card with rewards points to make big purchase but pay it off right away so I dont accumulate interest. smart!

Congratulations on getting your projects done! Isn't it funny how these things never stay on budget! I have spent a lot debt on remodeling my home hoping to recoup it in a few years. With that market, it doesn't look likely!

Smile Very Smart!!

A lot of people can learn from you.. It was very smart not to touch your savings and pay the credit card off asap.. Your one more payment is small change compared to what you have already paid.. So pat on the back to ya!!

Thumbs up One more payment

That is true, savings should be for savings and must not be used for other expenses. Congratulations you were able to do it. I was tempted before to use our savings when our heater broke and we were out of budget to fix it. Good thing, our credit cards are always up-to-date.

We got some more painting to finish in the living room. But we just paid off the remaining balance beginning of this month.
