Do you guys think it's worth to take out personal loans for Caribbean medical schools? There are only 3 Caribbean med schools are qualified for US federal Standford loans but the tuition is crazily expensive, almost 5 times higher than those schools who doesn't offer federal loans.
Anyways, do you guys think it's worth to take out personal loans to attend a foreign med school? |

Important question here is do you have a choice?
It would depend on how good is your financial background is and whats the potential after graduating. If your finances are limited and you are not sure about the future subsequent to graduation. My suggestion would be a big NO.If thats not the case and the colleges are reputed to ensure you a good job that can help you repay the loan at the earliest, then can positively think of going ahead with a loan. |

Medicine/healthcare is no longer a path to an upper class existence. It certainly was in the Mercedez 80's. . .it just is no longer is true.
This is true of medicine/allopathy, dentistry, chiropractic, optometry, etc. No, I don't think it's a good idea to take out personal loans for Carribean Medical School. Good luck.

Why are you looking into Caribbean med schools? You say you have a good GPA. Is there some reason you can't apply to US med schools?
