Default We just made our last non-mortgage debt payment!

Just made a $20,000 payment to the lone outstanding credit card we had a balance on!! DH and I are now debt free except for the house mortgage. No car loans. No personal loans. No credit card balances. Yahoo! It feels great and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.

Also, our house is on the market and if/when it sells, we'll be COMPLETELY debt free -- at least for a little while. Now, won't that be something!

Kudos! Wonderful news - I can't wait to be in your shoes one day (hopefully in the next 18 months, if all goes to plan, knock wood...)!

You rock, good job! I hope you save up enough for a 20% downpayment on your next home and you take no more than a 15 year mortgage. Don't spend more than 35% on your home of your income. Do this and you will live like no one else.

Good job. I hope to be in the same situation in 24-36 months. Can't wait to get rid of this pesky student loan.
