I also got the welcome letter with bonus coupons yesterday! Thanks. There were serveral coupons that I'll use. Kudos on being so organized and taking on the responsibility of the train. I guess we can call you the conductor! Conductor Flash has a nice ring to it?!

This was my first coupon train experience. And boy was it a good one!

Excellent run! So glad to hear some of the envies made it to you!

Well, I'm bundling up the next round...must tell you, it's about 3 inches thick. Looks like everyone has been saving since January 1! It will shrink as we start circulating regularly.

Definitely will be using a mailer for this one. Maybe duct tape...

Okay, a few more coupons today. Also some offers:

BignRichFan, was able to get two more of the Feline Pine rebates, so will send those. With the "free" rebates online, not bad.

Esmeralda, have 3 Sweetscoop $1 coupons, Tidy Cat, Johnny Cat, etc. etc.

If any one knows a diabetic using Ascensia test products, I have several $50 coupon booklets, but they will add weight to the package, so I won't send unless someone can use them.

A big package is on it's way to Esmeralda!

Note, I have not been able to reach Andrea by email, mail, post, or PM. Katwoman is on hold for personal reasons.

We will be starting the second round in two weeks, Bullet Train TWO, so we won't end up with such a big pile and less chance of expiration.

Those who wanted on this train, there is a waiting list for a second train route, I'll set up a NEW THREAD for that.

(bignrichfan -- found two more rebates for Feline Pine, so between the "Free" bags and the rebates, you should be set. It's on it's way to you. Was able to replace or request more coupons on everything)

Today I received the first official bullet train installment. Pulled out the ones we use and added mine, doubling the size of the packet. I will try to mail it out tomorrow or Friday. The cat ate a hole in the only envelope I had that will fit the stack, so I have to hunt for another one!! I added quite a few pet coupons for BignRichfan and lots of cosmetics for Etswife2005.

Flash, I received your welcome envelope the other day and this time it was all intact :O) Thanks a million for all the great coupons and rebates. You must have worked really hard to replace the coupons for me and I appreciate it so much. The cats will be set now for sure. They go through the stuff like crazy. Esmerelda I will keep an eye out for your envelope. I can't wait for it to get here. I will post when it does. Thanks.

Flash, train #2 arrived in the southwest on Wed 2/22. Lots of stuff I can use. During the month of February, we have saved %45 on food and dining out. This is from using in store sales and coupons. Added in a couple more; nothing like the last stack. I will send this one out tomorrow morning - Friday.

Esmeralda, that's fantastic! You made my day!

question for all -- is it easier to post in this thread for both rounds, or to keep a separate thread for the followup train? I thought separate, so we don't get confused, but it may be less confusing to have a single thread.

Thoughts?

And it left the SW station again this morning. First class, I believe. I think its okay to post both trains here. I get the e-mail reminder which lets me know who has posted the latest on the status. Are there two separate trains? Maybe naming them might help to differentiate. The Chili Express? The Prickly Pear Light Rail? The Geco Caboose? Nothing relevant comes to mind. Dry creativity wise. I'm at work.

I wasn't very original, I just called it bullet train two in the thread.

It is taking about 4 weeks for one train to make it all the way around, with only 5 members, so I sent out the second train two weeks behind it before we all, or our coupons, expire.

How is that working for you?

Ohhhh. Now I see. I thought that you meant bullet train two was the second envelope to be sent round. I guess if we refer to them sequentially that's fine too. They arrive with just enought time between them for me to use what I pulled out of the last one and to save a stack to add in. I'm really pretty laid back about the whole thing and just thrilled to be on the list.
Here is a side note you might appreciate. Our postal service was so slow and so many people complained that a federal investigation was conducted. Whatever the findings were (not shared with the public mind you) they are hiring 19 more people and getting additional equipment to insure that mail is delivered and on time. I wonder if that might speed things up on this end - both the arrival and departure. Just something to consider...

I sent it to BigRichFan on the 24th, last Friday, first class mail. Our post office is slow sometimes. Very slow.

Estewife, I know it is taking a long time to get around! The holiday in there hasn't helped. I was hoping it would be back here this week.

Hang in there. That's why we are running TWO trains, one every two weeks or so, so once they get around it will be regular. It just takes a long time for the first one.

Or Esmeralda, were you talking about the second train? The one you just received?

See, this is why we need to have two threads. I can't keep track of the tracks!

Freesbees, you're in the middle. Has the first bullet train made it to you?

Estewife, just saw that Freesbees posted on the 22nd that the first one was going in the mail to you last week, Thurs/Fri. So it should be to you any day.

Esmeralda, I'm moving the second train to the other link. Can we keep track that way?
