Thumbs up another site to donate your hair

www.wigsforkids.org

If you would like to donate your hair to Wigs for Kids, please follow these simple guidelines:
Your hair must be clean and dry
It must be 10 - 12 inches in length.
Pull curly hair straight to measure
Hair can be cut at your local salon
Hair that has been cut and saved can be donated
Secure braids and /or ponytails with rubber bands
Place the hair in a plastic bag or wrap in tissue paper

They provide wigs to children who have lost their hair due to medical problems.

The link above did not work for me, but we all know how iffy hyperlinks can get. This is a wonderful organization and the site is up and running.

My uncle has donated his hair to WFK, aswell as others. He finds it very rewarding. I think its just an excuse for him to grow his hair long. Wait.. Thats a great idea. Now nobody can complain when I have long hair!

Great! I've done this pretty much any time I cut my hair and I'm happy it's goes to something instead of sitting in a landfill.
