Default Most Effective Cancer Charity?

There are a number of charities to support research into cures for cancer. Does anyone here know which has proven to be the most effective, efficient or least wasteful with the donated funds?

Thanks. What criteria are they using to measure?

Also there is a site called Charity Navigator. I did a search for cancer and sorted by rating. The V Foundation rates highest. 93% of your donation goes to research. (Compare that to American Cancer Society which according to the site is terribly inefficient.)

I think you could probably make a donation directly to a particular research lab or its med school if you want to be very direct.

That's a great way to go. If you have a family member or friend who was treated at a particular cancer medical center, or just a particular one you are familiar with, you can typically donate online to the center, and the money goes directly to benefit research, treatment, patient care, prevention/education, etc. Often, you can specify the particular programs your money goes to. That is the case for the hospital where my brother/mother were/are treated, and to my knowledge, that's the case across at cancer centers the country.

Well, I have heard of carsfightingcancer. I have heard good things about that charity giving large amounts of money. Good luck with your search!

If you are giving charity to someone to whom you personally know that he is needy for this ,that is the best way to do this.Any you can to any cancer hospital.Your deeds will be counted if you have good thinking about giving charity.
