I don't use it, but I like that they just recently started funding loans for businesses in the United States.

Oh really, I thought they only do for under developed or poverty countries. Why they have to do in USA?

I do and of several hundred loans I have given out, only one has defaulted. Great organization in my opinion.

Yeah, thats what I heard too. I checked it out and found the projects are really small at times. I also didn't find projects at my home country which I prefer to do. I guess they are just expanding slowly.

tmvijai, that is surprising that there are no loans being made in India. I wonder why. I wonder if there are no partner teams, or whatever they call the groups that distribute the loans in a given country.
I did find this guy in the US who is getting a Kiva loan to do a US-to-India export business concentrating on scrap metal. Hopefully that would benefit some people with jobs there. Perhaps he is an Indian man in the US. It looks like he is waiting for just 15% more of his requested loan to be raised as I write this. J-A,
Yeah, I see the details of that person. I hope what he does brings some job to india not just taking scrap to India and dumping it which I don't like. India is not a junkard as many countries think. If he is planning that big of business, why he needs help. He should get a loan from bank. Anyway, thanks for your pointer. I did find other team in KIVA with indian decent which does lot of things..
