Default Getting 50% Discounts

If you are one of those people who want the discounts that coupons provide, but don't have the time or patience to go around collecting them, the Entertainment Book may be just what you have always been looking for. For those who eat out and attend events in their local area, there is absolutely no reason not to invest in one of these books since all the coupons come already compiled within it. These books contain thousands of dollars worth of restaurant, shopping, leisure activities, hotel and travel savings for specific cities around the nation. Each book also offers national coupons that can save you big money on such expenses as rental cars and airplane tickets. Individual city coupon book prices range from $25 to $45 depending on the particular city desired.

Each book is developed around a major city or area with the saving coupons focused on that area's dining and entertainment. While many people purchase the books for the savings they receive in the area where they live, it is often worthwhile purchasing a book for any area you plan to visit for more than a few days. Since when you travel, you're usually dining out and visiting the tourist attractions of the city you're visiting, it rarely takes more than a day for the book to pay for itself.

One of the most popular aspects of each book is the 50% discount on over 5,000 hotels around the nation. A stay for a night or two at any of these participating hotels will enable you to recoup your investment. Simply locate a hotel in the city where you'll be traveling, then call or fax the hotel directly to see if there are any rooms available at the programs 50% discounted rate (at most participating hotels, if the occupancy rate is less than 80%, the half-price rate will be available) for the dates you want to stay. If the hotel does, you make your reservations, show your membership card when you check-in and pay half-price when you check out.

Participating hotels will require you to show your membership card and the half-price discount isn't available with other discounts. Each membership card that comes with a purchased book is only good for one room, so if you are traveling with friends or in a group that will require two or more rooms each night, you'll need to purchase additional books. Reservations need to be made in advance, even if it is only a few hours before, since most hotels will refuse to give the discount to those who show up unannounced at the front desk.

For those who aren't sure if a coupon book would be worthwhile, the Entertainment City Coupon Book has a online master index of all the participating businesses for each of the cities. By going through the list and finding coupons which offer discounts to places and services you already frequent, it is easy to judge how much savings you'll receive and if the book makes financial sense for you. The site also offers a free trial where you can print certain coupons of participating restaurants, sports, entertainment, retail and service businesses in your area giving you a 20% discount for each of them - and those savings are no risk money in your pocket.

Hey, for 2006 the entertainment book is only 12.99. That can pay for itself in 1 meal out. by the way, you get 2 coupons in it for money off the cost of a united airlines flight. definitely worth the cost.

Well, if you don't eat out, don't use hotels and airlines, you would save much much more.

to save $13 you would spend at least the other $13 out of your pocket for the meal for 2 (I guess), but if you shop with coupons and on sales, and cook at home, you can feed 5-7 people for that much for whole day.

It would totally not worth to me.
