We have the large cans that the automatic garbage truck picks up. I love it, huge and no knocked over cans or bags laying in the street (like my old hometown) They want stuff in bags in the can but no one has complained when we dont like for boxes and the junk mail, which I prefer not to take in the house.

But so far I can't convince DH to stop using the big bags for the kitchen (he is still in charge of garbage) We don't use any in little cans, well one as a liner, but for the little ones he just dumps the garbage in the big bag when he takes it out, about twice a week.
