I agree with Jeffrey regarding credit unions. I used to work at a bank and now work at a credit union, I love it! The fees are seriously cheaper(at least here in madison, wi) than banks, % rates are higher for cds, and savings, and lower for loans. It's only 5 dollars to open a savings account for most CU's in WI, I guess I'm just posting this b/c it seems as if a lot of people don't understand how much money they could save or how much happier they would be at a credit union. By the way, your a member not a customer, you have a say in who's on the board of directors which is awesome!
