Lots of food for thought on this thread.
I had a high-paying job that consumed all my time and energy, and I hated it.

I saved 1/3 of my gross pay and most people considered me to be frugal. I had (and still have) no debt other than a mortgage on a house that doubled in value in 4 years.
A year ago, I left for a job I love which pays 75% less. Yes, that's right, I earn 25% of what I used to make. However, I think I've gone from one extreme to the other. Being frugal just isn't fun.

Cutting my expenses further isn't a realistic option, so now I'm looking for the happy medium: the job that's OK but pays more.
Someone asked me recently what my Plan B was if I don't find the Happy Medium Job. I said I don't have a Plan B. I always get Plan A. Always. I just work hard enough until I get it. And I've had a lot of different Plan As in my lifetime. So I love the quote below about making your own luck. Wish me luck!
