when I had my identity stolen in 2000, the first person to come to my defense was the branch manager of First Union (now Wachovia). It was above and beyond teh call of service that I expected. I was expecting him to meet with me for a half an hour tops, but he met wtih me for 2 hours and then adjusted his personal schedule so my problems would be resolved in a timely matter. He called every company that was involved and let them know what was going on.
It's the kind of service you expect from a local bank that I got with a chain bank.
