I did it for about 2 years. It is easy money, you will get used to it after a couple of times. After the first time they usually get you in quicker. Set up a time that is not popular if you can. Right before they close or right when they open if you are morning person.
Bring a book to read. It is amazing how much reading I got done while I was there. I still wish that I could donate. Cannot due to medication that I take.
just make sure that if your arm gets sore to switch sides and take a few breaks if needed. The money is nice if you put it right toward something and not just spend it because it is cash.
Also make sure that you claim it on your taxes they submit a form as to how much you get and if you do not account for it the IRS could come back and get you.
But check with the donation place if they do submit a form or not, if not do not worry about it.
My experience was nothing but positive. But if you do not like it they try to donate blood. You get the satisfaction of helping someone and sometimes that is better than money.
Good luck on your donations.
