I've done Vindale Research and been paid. You just need to make sure that what you sign up for is cancelled before any secondary charges come through.
Other surveys that have paid me are American Consumer Opinion Panel, Your2Cents, NFOMySurvey, and Lightspeed Opinion Panel. Oh, and SurveySpot, also but you have to take a lot of their surveys before the paid ones start coming and half the time the paid ones seem to have a glitch in the system that says try again later or some other nonsense and then when you do the survey is closed or not availalbe. Despite being paid once by them I decided it was a waste of time.
