No Target or Wal-Mart. No chain video stores. No Home Depot. No national hotels. Nothing. All mom and pop stores and restaurants and bed and breakfast places. The only things that are chains are the gas stations and Shaw supermarkets. It was such a nice change of pace. Shopkeepers provided excellent, personal service because they owned the shops.

I've been to Stowe twice! I love skiing there.
We went to Mom & Pop video store when I was younger.
Currently I go to local restaurants, coffee places, gift shops when I can.
